Shopping bags made of compostable material
Our biodegradable compostable shopping bags are made from plant-based raw materials in accordance with the European standard EN 13432. At the end of their useful life, they biodegrade in a compostable environment.
We have developed 4 standard sizes of compostable bag to meet the needs of the market. We use a special cover which protects BIO bags against moisture, extending product life.
Our biodegradable compostable bags are made from compostable raw materials made from plant-based polymer (EN13432: 2000). Once their lifespan is over, they biodegrade within a compostable environment, contributing to the development of significant advantages throughout the production-consumption-disposal process and being used in their last phase for the production of agricultural fertilizers with their decomposition process.

Compostable handle bags for bakery use
These bags are made of food-safe material. They are premium quality bags, which do not have that compostable bag’s natural aroma. Each bag is printed with bakery and confectionery delicatessen designs in organic ink. They are also equipped with a sleeve to protect them from moisture. These bags are packaged in two sets of 50 per pack.

We have premium organic products that do not have the toasted aroma that is normally present in bags made from bio-natural material.
High technology enables us to reduce film thickness with no loss of properties.
It can also be reused in the kitchen as a lightweight bag for organic waste. Its disposal will provide nutrients and improve soil structure.
We use a special cover which protects BIO bags against moisture, extending product life. BIO bags are made up of a complex mixture of easily hydrolysable starch and are degraded (molecule breakdown) by water. For that reason, we use a water-repellent cover that protects bags better, being an excellent barrier to H2O.
The boxes and banners are FSC-certified. At Walki Plasbel, we take care of every detail. We work with suppliers certified by the international FSC organisation, guaranteeing that our auxiliary materials come from a sustainably managed forest.
Our BIO bags are stronger than most products in the same category. We use high quality raw materials and are constantly researching the latest technology materials, advancing quality, increasing performance and improving product efficiency.
We have extruders for manufacturing biodegradable compostable material, adapting to the needs of the market.
These products are certified and guaranteed by OK-COMPOST TUV Austria according to the European standard EN 13432.

They have no negative effects on the environment and improve soil structure and nutrient bioavailability.
We are compliant with the European Plastics Strategy. EU mandated in 2018 that by 2030, all plastic packaging placed on the EU market must be reusable, compostable or recyclable.
They are made from food grade material.
Certificates
According to what we are at Walki Plasbel, an environmentally conscious and respectful company, we have three different seals for our products.
The OK compost HOME certificate guarantees that our products achieve a biodegradation level of at least 90% within 12 months in a home composting process (±20-30ºC).
This certificate guarantees that our products reach a biodegradation level of at least 90% within 6 months in an industrial composting plant (±58ºC).
The OK Biobased certificate guarantees that our bio-based products have a bio-based content of between 40% and 60%.
